Scott Lewis Funeral Director/ Embalmer Scott was born and raised in East Providence, and presently resides in East Providence. He is a 1992 graduate of East Providence High School and a graduate of Mt. Ida College in Newton Mass., with a diploma in Funeral Service in 1995. Scott is a third generation funeral director; his great-uncle Joe Perry established the Perry Funeral Home in East Providence which is now operated as the Perry-McStay Funeral Home. His father Ralph J. Lewis Sr., was a funeral director at Rebello Funeral Home for many years.
Scott was employed by the Rebello Funeral Home from 1989-2004, as a funeral assistant then a licensed Embalmer/Funeral Director. He also was responsible for operating the crematory at
East Bay Crematory from 1992-2004. Scott then worked for 2 years at the Nardolillo Funeral home in Cranston, RI in the capacity of Embalmer/Funeral Director, and then worked for the Perry-Mcstay Funeral Home as an Embalmer. He joined the Smith-Mason Funeral Home in Riverside in 2006 as a Funeral Director /Embalmer. In his work here at Smith-Mason he is able to assist you in making funeral arrangements for your loved one, pre-arranging funerals, and helping you with any questions you may have. He is a member of the Rhode Island Funeral Directors Association and the National Funeral Directors Association. He is a member of the East Providence Elks #2337 and a member of Knights of Columbus Bishop Hickey Council in Riverside.
