Clayton Marrs age 74, of Huntsville, died Sunday, October 4, 2009, at Circle of Life Hospice Home in Springdale. He was born December 24, 1934 in Boston, Arkansas, to the son of Scott C. Marrs Sr. and Myrtle Ivy Porter Marrs. He was retired from Tyson Corporate where he worked as a Security guard for 25 years. Clayton enjoyed being on the lake fishing or in the woods hunting. He was a former member of Christian Union Church, Fayetteville, Arkansas and is now a member of Farmers Community Church, Hindsville, Arkansas.

He is preceded in death by his father, Scott C. Marrs, Sr.; his mother, Mrytle Ivy Porter Marrs; his wife, Billie Gibson Marrs; two brothers, Oris Marrs and Scott Marrs Jr.; one sister, Ruby Gardner.

Survivors include two sisters, Leveda Bolick of Springdale and Levern Gardner and husband Leroy of Fayetteville; children, Dwayne C. Marrs and wife Brenda of Huntsville, Kent D. Marrs of Huntsville, Lisa M. Marrs Lynch and husband Larry of Huntsville; one step-son, Robert Gibson and wife Tracey of Fayetteville; Grandchildren, Billy Clayton Marrs, Angie Marrs Johnson, Lecile Lynch, Lacey Lynch Duggar, Emily Marrs Mayes, Tee Jay Marrs; step grandchildren, Zack and Nick Gibson; great grandchildren, Stephanie, Michael, Savanna, Sierra, Breanna and Kate; one step great grandchild, Kaylea; and one great great grandson, Joshua.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Springdale. Funeral Service will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home Chapel in Springdale. Pallbearers will be Billy Clayton Marrs, Ronnie Wiles, Lyman Carney, Loren Collins, Glen Atchley and Floyd Collins. Honorary Pallbearers will be T.J. Marrs, Lecile G. Lynch, Stacy D. Johnson, Michael Dwayne-Ray Howard, Johnnie Kail Walker, Charlie Farley and Kent Cornett. The Reverend Jimmy Bennett, The Reverend Steve Schafer and The Reverend David Schafer officiating. Committal Service to follow at Friendship Cemetery in Springdale. Online guest book at
