Adam Kowalski, 87, Mosinee, died Saturday, July 14, 2007. at the Palliative Care Unit at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, from pneumonia after being in the nursing home for 4 months.

Adam was born in Park Falls on January 29, 1920, the son of the late Gus and Martha (Kosky) Kowalski. They moved to Kronenwetter, where he lived for the rest of his life.

Adam met Helen Koprowski and they were married on November 15, 1941. He served in the Army during WWII for the India Transportation Corps from January 1943 to December, 1945. He was a member of the Jehovah Witness Weston Congregation
for many years. Adam was a hardworking loving family man who enjoyed woodworking, horseshoes, and dancing.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Helen, at home; four sons, Darryl (Judy) Kowalski, Mosinee, their children, Jason, Wausau, and Melinda, Oregon; Alan Kowalski, Mosinee, his children, Rebecca, Calif., Lee (Terry), South Carolina, and Andrew, Wausau; David (Peggy) Kowalski, Mosinee, their children, Nette, Appleton, Lydia, Cody, Wyoming, and Benjamin, Cody, Wyoming; and Michael (Cate) Kowalski, New Hampshire, their children, Kevin and Kristine, both of Appleton; one daughter, Dianne Kowalski, Wausau; and three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Leonard (Irene)Kowalski, Norlan (Geraldine) Kowalski, and Frankie (Gloria) Kowalski; three sisters, Lorraine Heil, Virginia Tabaka, and Caroline Brandenburg; one sister in-law, Anabell Kowalski, and many friends, cousins and spiritual brothers and sisters from the Rib Mountain and Weston Jehovah Witness Congregations.

Adam is preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Myron and Vincent.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, July 27, 2007, at the Kronenwetter Municipal Center, Kronenwetter. Elder Michael Plaisted will be officiating. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the time of services at the Kronenwetter Municipal Center.
