John H. James Sr., 64, Wausau, died Tuesday, July 24, 2007, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital Center, under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services.

He was born October 10, 1942, in Wausau, to the late Howard and Vivian (Tritt) James. On May 22, 1966, he was united in marriage to Barbara Jo Templeton. She died on January 20, 1997.

John served in the U.S. Army from 1961-1964, working in the special intelligence with computers. After returning home he worked for Wausau Homes, both on the road crew and in the computer room. John enjoyed working on his computer and developed web sites for many major companies. He enjoyed reading science fiction books and barbecuing. He played for a time with Robin Lee and the Lavenders and wrote a special song for his wife, Barbara Jo.

He is survived by a son, John James Jr., Mosinee, a daughter, Julie James, and two grandchildren, Barbie and Scott James.

Funeral Services will be at Wausau Alliance Church, 2125 Franklin St., Wausau, at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 26, 2007. Rev. Jivko Binev will officiate. Burial will be Friday morning at Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the time of services at the church. Military Honors at the cemetery will be provided by American Legion Montgomery-Plant Post 10.

Hayden-Buettgen Funeral Home, Schofield, assisted the family with arrangements.
