Mildred B. Callum, 85, formerly of Stratford, died Saturday, September 1, 2007, at the Colonial Center Nursing Home, Colby.

Mildred was born February 4, 1922, the daughter of the late Walter and Agnes (Kuehl) Neubauer, in Milwaukee. She married Harold F. Callum on June 22, 1940. He preceded her in death on April 3, 1999.

During her marriage to Harold, Milly enjoyed golfing in their earlier years, and in their retirement fishing at their trailer on Stone Lake, and traveling to their winter home in Harlington, TX. Serving her family as a caretaker, nurturer, and reading were her passions. Playing bingo and visiting the casino were her hobbies.

Survivors include her children, Jane Ann (Jerald) Pederson, Stratford, and Harold F. (Sue) Calllum, Jr., Jackson, WI; five grandchildren; Kelley M. Koehler, Santa Fe, NM., Dayle J. Koehler, Austin, TX., Noelle (Clint) Corwin, Correen (Jurgen) Oestreich, and Colleen (Wayne) Wagner, all from WI.; fourteen great grandchildren, Cody Snell, Dylan Ferguson, Hunter Ferguson, and Maya Sky Koehler-Johnson, all of New Mexico; Quintin Williams, Lauren Williams, and Kyylen Locklear, all from TX., and Rachel Corwin, Cameron Corwin, Nadea Oestreich, Brianna Oestreich, Leah Wagner, and Natasha Wagner, from WI; two sisters, Shirley Bretschneider, Siren, WI, and Lorraine Ross, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. Besides her parents and husband, Milly is preceded in death by two brothers, Carroll and Burton Neubauer.

Services will be held at 1 p.m., September 22, 2007, at the St. John’s Lutheran Church, Jackson, WI.

Hayden-Buettgen Funeral Home, Schofield, assisted the family with the arrangements.
