| | | Lucy K. Kasmerchak, 76, Wausau, died Monday, December 03, 2007, at her home.
Lucy was born April 7, 1931, in Wausau, to the late George and Flora (Hintze) Gleason. Her parents died when she was a young girl and was lovingly raised by Ralph and Avis Hintze.
She co-owned and operated Bob’s Sure Fine Foods and The Corner Grocery, worked as Deli manager at the Landmark Restaurant and the former T-Mart Deli. Lucy enjoyed cooking, baking and drawing. She especially enjoyed baking and decorating Christmas cookies with her children, grandchildren and their friends.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Kasmerchak, Wausau; six daughters, Constance (Tom) Thoma, Hatley, Candace (John) Hanz, Wausau, Cynthia (Dan) Malak, Rockwell, Texas, Cheryl Olig, Wausau, Carla Kasmerchak, Wausau, and Christine (Sheldon) Baumann, Wausau; four sons, John (Donna) Kasmerchak, Rothschild, Joe (Debbie) Kasmerchak, Wausau, Jay (Kay) Kasmerchak, Wauwautosa, and Jim (special friend Jill) Kasmerchak, Milwaukee; 22 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Herb (Alice) Hintze and Francis (Ellen) Hintze; one sister, Margaret (Chet) Kwarciany and many nieces and nephews. Lucy is preceded in death by George and Flora Gleason, Ralph and Avis Hintze, one daughter, Catherine Kasmerchak, three brothers, Ed Hintze, Roy Hintze, and Ralph Hintze, Jr..
The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m., December 7, 2007, at The Church of St. Anne, Wausau. The Rev. Steven Brice will officiate. Burial will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, December 6, 2007 at Hayden-Buettgen Funeral Home, Schofield, where a prayer service will be held at 7 p.m., and visitation will be held again from 10 a.m. until the time of mass Friday at the Church.
Hayden-Buettgen Funeral Home, Schofield, assisted the familt with arrangements.
