| | | Carl Aschenbrener, 67, Wausau, died Friday, January 18, 2008.
Carl was born October 9, 1940, the son of the late Aloysius and Verona (Hayes) Aschenbrener. He married Barbara Shouse on September27,1992,
in Las Vegas.
He served in the US Army for four years and worked for many years for Michael’s Pipeline before moving to California to work as a forklift operator and becoming a member of the Teamsters Union Local 84 in California. His enjoyments included the wine country in California, fishing, bow hunting, traveling with Barbara, being an avid packer fan and sports enthusiast.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Aschenbrener; his daughter, Carla (Clarence) Soczka, Wausau; two sisters, Sally (Tom) Polzer, Wausau, and Mary Aschenbrener, Westboro.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Therese Catholic Church, Rothschild. The Rev. Janusz Kowalski will officiate. Burial will follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Kronenwetter, with full Military Honors. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, with a prayer vigil at 7 p.m., at The Hayden-Buettgen Funeral Home, Schofield, and again from 10 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at the church.
