| | | Gary Bohlman, 70, Weston, died Friday, March 21, 2008, as a result of a logging accident in the woods near his home.
He was born Dec. 6, 1937, in Wausau, to the late Leonard and Pearl (McCauley) Bohlman. Gary attended Wausau High School and later served in the U.S. Army. He worked for 37 years as a salesman at Rosemurgy Motors in Wausau. He enjoyed the outdoors, was a lifelong member of the NRA, and did training and breeding of Wirehaired Pointing Griffons. In 2005, he received NAVHDA -- a breeder's award from the Ruffed Grouse Society.
He is survived by two sons, Brad Bohlman, Mosinee, and Chad (Sandi) Hildebrandt, Wausau; one daughter, Cher (Kevin) Gunderson, Green Bay; two sisters, Gail Mason, Eureka, Calif., and Carol Smith, Schofield; one sister-in-law, Mary Grass, Washington; five grandchildren; one nephew and godson, Michael Smith, Mosinee; niece and goddaughter, Tanya (John) Curran, Boston; as well as additional nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Gary was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Grass; and a sister, Dorothy Engebretson.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2008, at Hayden-Buettgen Funeral Home, 948 Grand Ave., Schofield, with the Rev. Donald Engebretson officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
