| | | Leonard P. Koskey 88, Wausau, died Wednesday April 9, 2008 unexpectedly at home. He was born May 12, 1919, the son of the late Anton & Helen Koskey. He married Margaret Myszka on July 4,1951. She died January 7, 1980.
Leonard loved his 2 grandsons, Jerad and Andrew Koskey, deer hunting and woodworking which included making furniture for his own home. He attended car shows and EAA in Oshkosh for many years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, was injured in the Invasion of Normandy for which he was awarded the Purple Heart. He had been a laborer for over 40 years at Crestline.
Leonard will be sadly missed by his sons, Ron (JoAnn) Koskey, Coralville, IA; Wayne (Ann) Koskey, North Aurora, IL; his daughter LaVonne (Gary) Goytowski, Weston; grandsons, Jerad and Andrew Koskey; and one sister, Esther Reger, Kronenwetter. Leonard was predeceased by his wife, Margaret; parents Anton & Helen Koskey; brothers Stanley, Barney and Edward; sisters Ann Lewandowski, Irene Waldenburger and Lorraine Akavickas.
A funeral Mass will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 12, 2008, at St. Therese Catholic Church, Rothschild, with visitation from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at the church.
