| | | Wayne R. Borth, 20, Schofield, died Friday, June 30, 2006, at the University of Wisconsin Children's Hospital, Madison, after a long and hard battle with muscular dystrophy.
He was born Jan. 29, 1986, in Milwaukee, the son of Jerry and Susan (Jenkins) Borth. Wayne graduated from D.C. Everest High in 2004 and was continuing his studies towards the mininstry. He enjoyed being with his family and friends and was strong in his faith.
Survivors include his parents, Jerry and Susan Borth of Schofield; his brother,Tyler,Schofield; his paternal grandparents, Gerald and Pearl Borth, Wausau; his maternal grandmother, Donna Jenkins, Schofield; his special caregivers, Steve Pilon, Diane, Al and Derek Franklin; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Jerry Jenkins.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 3, 2006, at the Christian Assembly-Assemblies of God Church, Wausau. The Rev. Dennis Romine will officiate. Burial will follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Kronenwetter. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. today at the Hayden-Buettgen Funeral Home, Schofield, and one hour prior to services Monday at the church.
