| | | Harvey Cooper,75, died at Cedar Creek Manor on Friday Sept. 29, 2006.
He was born March 29. 1931, the son of Alma and Harvey Cooper.
Harvey served in the Marine Corp during the Korean War from 1948 to 1952. After his tour of service he worked for the police departments in Wausau and Rothschild. After several years he changed his career the insurance business working at several companies as a claims adjuster and an underwriter. He retired from Capital Indemnity Insurance in Madison.
Harvey was a life time member of the VFW Wm Soney Post 8216 in Middleton. During his life time he enjoyed playing many sports including hockey, bowling and he was an avid golfer.
He is survived by his daughter Ellen Mueller of Illinois, and seven grandchildren, and his dear
friend Jean Raphoon who helped and supported him, especially through his last illness.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Joanne Prichark, two sons, Michael and Marshall Cooper and his daughter Cheryl Long.
A special thanks goes to the staff of Cedar Creek Manor and the Hospice Services, especially Shirley who showed him such kindness and respect.
Graveside services with military honors will be Oct. 6 2006 at 10:00 am at Pine Grove cemetery in Wausau.
Hayden-Buettgen Funeral Home is assisting with the services.
