Kenneth S. Kosky, 62, of Wausau, died on Wednesday, October 11, 2006 at St. Clare’s Hospital, Weston.

Born July 7, 1944 in Stambaugh, MI to Kenneth Jacob and June (Benson) Kosky. He grew up and lived in Beechwood, MI until 1962 where he moved to Milwaukee to attend the Milwaukee Technical Vocational School. After graduating High School Ken worked for many diesel shops until 1976 when he co founded K & S Fuel Injection service with John Schmidt.

Ken’s hobbies included reading, hunting, and traveling. Ken also loved to play horseshoes. In fact, he started a horseshoe business in 2000 and in 2004 he became a national distributor of horseshoes through the National Horseshoe Pitchers Association (NHPA). Ken also published the WI Horseshoe Pitcher’s newsletter and was recently inducted into the WI Horseshoe Pitcher’s Hall of Fame.

Survivors include two sons: Mike Kosky, Wittenberg and Jason (Raechel) Maki, Wausau; one daughter: Terri Kosky of Wausau, four grandsons, Taylor Kosky, Shawn, Kosky, Matthew Zoromski, and Carter Maki, his brother Darryl Kosky of Green Bay; 2 sisters, Lynette Kosky and Diane Vasquez of Ann Arbor; and his step Mother, June Kosky, Florida.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 14, 2006 at the Hayden-Buettgen Funeral Home, Schofield. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. on Saturday until time of services at the funeral home. Graveside services and Burial will take place on Monday at 11:30 a.m. at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Beechwood, MI. with a lunch to follow at the Beechwood town hall.
