| | | Gerald Laska, 62, Ringle, died unexpectedly, Wednesday, June 6, 2007, at his home.
He was born October 16, 1944, to the late Roman and Angeline (Delikowski)Laska.
Gerald was married to Janet DeBroux-Venzke on July 25, 1998, in Wausau. He retired April 30th from Federal Mogul in Schofield, after being there 41 years.
He loved fishing, hunting, gardening, line dancing and most of all, spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends. Jerry was always willing to help people and had his camera readily available. He never left home without it. He was proud of his dad's Allis Chalmers tractor and kept it running well. His world famous fish fry will be missed by all.
He is survived by his wife, Janet, four daughters, Vicki (Dan) Apfelbeck, Kronenwetter; Angela Morris, Phoenix, Arizona; Jessica (Jody) Meadows, Kronenwetter; Cheryl (Jim) Jaworski, Athens; two sons, John Laska and Chad Venzke, both of Wausau; two brothers, Leroy Laska, Weston and Jimmy (Mary) Laska, Rothschild; four sisters, Janet (Pete) Barwick, Appleton; Nancy (Guy) Fredel, Kronwetter; Shirley (Greg) Hahn, Aniwa; Audrey Biard, Kronenwetter, and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, June 11, 2007 at Hayden-Buettgen Funeral Home in Schofield. Rev John Roseth will officiate. Burial will follow in Forestville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday, June 10, 2007, and will continue Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
