| | | Sadie A. Krause, 102, Schofield, died Friday July 25, 2008 at St. Clare’s Hospital, Weston.
She was born August 30, 1905, to Robert and Emily (Krueger) Bauman. She was married October 10, 1925 to Alvin Krause.
She worked on the family farm in the Town of Ringle from 1925 to 1968. After farming she worked at Best Bakery and Green’s Office Building. She was an excellent seamstress, doing alterations for many people in the community. She was a very loving person, she loved everyone and everyone loved her. She had a personality that attracted people to her. She was the oldest member of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her son Robert, Wausau; four daughters, Betty Baneck, Schofield; Marian (Rudy) Kmiecik, Weston; Caroline (Richard) Gorski, Ringle; and Mable Witz, Weston; 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 20 great-great-grandchildren and 3 step great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin; her parents, Robert and Emily Bauman; son, William; Grandson, Gerald Buchberger; great-grandson, Brian Borchardt; son-in-law Jim Witz; daughter-in-law Margaret Krause; and brothers Harry and Walter Bauman.
Services will be held Monday July 28, 2008,at 12:00 noon at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, 115 Eau Claire St., Schofield. Visitation will be Sunday July 27, 2008, 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Hayden-Buettgen Funeral Home, 948 Grand Ave, Schofield, and 11 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
