VIEW/SEND CONDOLENCES
| | | Mary Kathryn Brose, 54, Wausau, entered her heavenly home on Saturday, September 6, 2008, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, with her daughters and mother at her side.
Mary graduated from Newman High School in 1972 and went on to attend college and attained her nursing license. She worked for thirty years at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She loved her job and was a dedicated patient advocate until her last day.
Mary was a caring and supportive mother to her daughters. She cared deeply for those close to her - especially her mother, sisters and two grandchildren. Mary loved being a grandmother and her eyes would light up when speaking of her grandchildren.
Her hobbies included gardening, collecting flamingos and shopping at the Dollar Store.
Mary’s sense of humor and boisterous singing, at family functions, will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
She is survived by her daughters, Kerry (Steve) Draxler, DePere, Emily Brose, Wausau, her mother, Jean Raphoon, Weston; one sister, Sue (Mike) Baldwin of St. Cloud, MN; grandchildren Maren and Colton; her nieces and nephews; and her extended family, Greg Brose, Leroy and Barb Brose and the rest of the Brose family.
She was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Raphoon; her sister, Karen Fritz; her grandparents Barbara and Walter Lyon and Joseph and Sophie Raphoon; and her close friend, Merlin.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, September 10, 2008, at 11 a.m. at St. Therese Catholic Church, Rothschild. The Rev. Janusz Kowalski will officiate. Burial will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Kronenwetter. Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 9, 2008, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Hayden~Buettgen Funeral Home, Schofield, and again from 10 a.m. until the time of mass Wednesday at the church. There will be a rosary service at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
