He was born on January 16, 1950, the son of Audrey (Specht) Haase and the late Daniel Ray Haase. He married Elisabeth (Betty) Polenz on July 25, 1970 at Trinity Lutheran Church in the town of Ellington.
Dan worked in the family owned Ziebart Auto Rust Proofing business and eventually owned and operated it with his brother John. He then worked at CTL until the time of his death. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time at the Howling Dog with his friends. Throughout his life he had favorite canine companions, even two felines. His love for his wife Betty allowed her use of most of the home for her passion of quilting. He died peacefully in his beloved north woods, where he and his family spent much of their time together. Dan had faith in his Lord and was looking forward to spending a lifetime in heaven.
