Mao Moua Lo was born Nov. 21, 1973, to Yangpao Moua and Mai Shoua Lee in Phouhet, Laos. She was born during the war time in Laos and, therefore, Mao and her familey members had to moce from one jungle to the next. She escaped to Ban Vinai Refugee Camp in Thailand, and finally settled in Wausau, Wis., on July 20, 1987.
Mao received her formal education in Wausau. She attended John Muir Middle School, Wausau East High School, and Northcentral Technical College. Even though Mao's life was very short, ahe was avle to achieve many things in her life. She had been employed at Fisjars inc., Wausau Early Childhood School, the Wausau School District, Diocese of La Crosse, Kolbe & Kolbe Millwork, and Marathon Cheese. Besides working, she was a business owner, ginseng farmer and store owner. Mao was a loving and warm wife, mother and friend. She spent her life with her loving husband, Xiong A. Lo. Mao; and was baptized and confirmed at the Church of St. Anne in Wausau.
Mao has battled concer for almost four years. She traveled to find a cure in China, Mexicp, Burma, Thailand, Laos, and the United States of America. At noon Monday, Nov. 17, 2008, she acceepted the call from our true savior Jesus Christ and the Lord.
She left behind her most precious life memory, her loving husband, Xiong A. Lo; her beautiful five children, Gaonou, Maikou, Adam, Thomas and Ashley; her lovin parents, Yangpao Moua and Mai Shoua Lee; her loving sisters, XeeMoua, Pazong Moua, Neng Moua and Maiger Moua; her loving brothers, Yand Moua, Lor Moua, Mai Moua, Vong Moua, Sa Moua and Dang Moua; Her loving brothers-in-law, Neng Yang, Taosia Lo, Yuepheng Lo, Laopao Lo, Ge Lo, Kong Lo, Sheyee Lo, Ying Yang, Cher Pao Thao (laos); Her loving sisters-in-law, Via T. Moua, Shoua Chang, Gaolee X. Lo, Melody V. Lo, Neng Lo Nengxaikao (laos), Chee L. Yang, Judy Hang, Mai Kao Pha and Yee Hang; and her loving parents-in-law, Chong Yang Lo and Via Yang,
"Mao was a true loving wife, mother and friend. She enjoyed making fooed and reading stories to her children."
She surely will be missed by her loving husband, her loving children, family members and friends.
The funeral Mas will be celebrated from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Nov 28, 2008, at The Church of St. Anne, Wausau. The Rev. Steven Brice will be officiating, Visitation will follow the service and continue until 10 a.m. Monday at the hayden-Buettgen Funeral Home, 900 Old highway 51, Mosinee.
