Verna L. Tesch, age 92, Schofield, died on Monday, February 16th, 2009.
She was born November 18, 1916 in Elderon, the daughter of the late Herman

They raised their family in the Tesch family home in Schofield.

years after the store opened. She was a homemaker and a loving mother who found time
to bake, crochet, and sew. She loved competing at the Wisconsin Valley Fair, where

Herald in 1986 highlighted Verna’s crocheted snowflake Christmas ornaments. She gave willingly of her talents, one of which was to participate in the Dress a Doll program at
Wausau bank each year. She always made at least two outfits for the doll because she knew every little girl would want her doll to have a change of clothes.
