Delores M. Lewis, 85, Schofield, died on June 9, 2009 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital surrounded by her family. She was an inspector for Del Monte Foods for 25 years until her retirement.
Delores was born to Theodore and Aurora (Luedtke) Pyke on March 12, 1924 in Wausau. She married Robert Lewis on February 5, 1944 in Schofield. He passed away on November 23, 1983.
She enjoyed her time up-north at the cottage fishing. Delores also enjoyed her casino trips as well. She loved time being with her family. She was happiest with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Delores is preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons Robert Lewis and Jeffery Lewis; one daughter Joann Lewis; two sisters Lillian Dallman and Lorraine Pyke.
She is survived by five daughters, Betty (Ralph) Wangen, Lois (John) Bittner, Terri (Gene) Edict, Judy (Pete) Helms, and Janice (Larry) Hintz; one daughter-in-law Nancy Lewis; two brothers Theodore Pyke Jr. and Donald Pyke; nineteen grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at Hayden-Buettgen Funeral Home. Visitation will start at 10:00am until the time of service at 12:00pm. Burial will be at Restlawn Cemetery immediately following the service. On-line condolences are available at haydenfh.com.
