| | | Patricia Louise Walker, 80, died Thursday, June 11, 2009, at home in Wausau surrounded by her family.
She was born Patricia Noseworthy on May 10, 1929, in Quebec City, Canada, and raised in Grand Falls, Newfoundland.
Pat attended art school in Montreal and returned to Newfoundland to work at the international airport in Gander. There she met and married the late Joseph Green of Wausau in 1956. They resided several years in Florida, moving to Wausau in 1964 to raise two sons.
After Joe’s death in 1986 she became reacquainted with Robert Walker – another friend from the Newfoundland days – and they were married in 1993.
Pat was an excellent cook and hostess, collected glass flowers, oriental objects, and other beautiful things. She possessed an enviable green thumb and her annual flower gardens were a neighborhood delight.
Survivors include husband Robert Walker, Wausau; two sons Craig (Betty Ristau) Green of Oceanside, CA, and Martin (Bonnie Carlson) Green of St. Louis Park, MN; one sister Daphne Bellink of San Rafael, Costa Rica; and three grandchildren, Herija, Carter, and Caroline.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00pm Tuesday, June 16, at Hayden-Buettgen Funeral Home, Schofield. Visitation will be from 3:00pm until the time of the service.
