| | | Phyllis (nee Mischker) Gruna, 81, Schofield, passed away Friday, June 26, 2009, peacefully in her sleep at Kennedy Park Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Schofield.
She retired from Federal Mogul, Schofield.
She was married to John Gruna Sept. 6, 1950, in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death Aug. 24, 1992. She is the daughter of Max Mischker and Marie Burcyzk. She had two sisters, Leona Tomiak and Audrey Sajdik; they preceded her in death.
She has two sons, Mike (Luann) Gruna of Schofield, and Jeff Gruna of Schofield; and one daughter, Karen (Ronald) Windorski of Schofield, eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews; and a very special nephew, Wayne Tomiak.
She loved spending time with the family and planting a big garden. Enjoying the family time at the lake in Arbor Vitae was a favorite pastime. Her church was a center focus in her life, and she was an avid member of the Little Flower Council and Catholic Daughters.
Funeral Mass will be at St. Therese Catholic Church, Rothschild, Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at 11 a.m., with a visitation starting at 9 a.m. until time of the Mass. A rosary will be said at 10:30 a.m. prior the Mass. Entombment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Wausau.
