Theresa C. Barwick
Theresa C. Barwick, 93, formerly of 1902 Spring St., Schofield, passed away Monday, July 6, 2009, at Mount View Care Center, Wausau.
Theresa was born to Joseph and Mary (Hoffman) Kielpinski on Aug. 8, 1915, in Custer. Theresa was married to Raymond Barwick on Aug. 22, 1935, in the town of Sharon. They resided in Schofield. He preceded her in death April 15, 1996.
She worked as a cook for Wausau area supper clubs.
Theresa enjoyed spending time with family, especially outings to the fair. She also enjoyed playing cards and bingo.
She is survived by a son, Ronald (Ruth) Barwick, Wausau; daughter, Beverly Hawro, Schofield; three grandchildren, Christine (Andre) Warner, Julie (Jeff) Herron and David (Becki) Hawro, all of Mosinee; and eight great-grandchildren. Theresa is preceded in death by her parents and husband; one sister, Rose Chack; and one brother, John Kielpinski.
The funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday, July 10, 2009, at St. Therese Catholic Church, Rothschild. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Wausau. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Hayden-Buettgen Funeral Home, Schofield, where there will be a rosary service at 7 p.m. Visitation will be again from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass Friday at the church.
The family is grateful for the exceptional care given to Theresa during her stay at Mount View. Theresa enjoyed the view looking out over Lake Wausau, and the activities shared with other residents and staff, music by Don Gruetzmacher on many special occasions, and playing bingo. The volunteers were so very friendly. Thank you to everyone, including John Buettgen at Hayden Buettgen Funeral Home.
