Michael T. Becker, 48, died Thursday, Aug. 13, 2009, at his home in Edgar.
He was the son of Delmar and Marilyn (Janke) Becker, Wausau. He attended St. Anthony's School in Athens, Athens High School and Wausau West High School, graduating in 1979.
Mike was foreman/superintendant for Del-Mar Inc., Del-Mar General Contracting Inc. and D. Becker Inc. of Wausau for most of his life. He most recently worked for Janke General Contractors Inc. of Athens.
Survivors in addition to his parents include two children, PFC Michael T. Newman, serving with the 32nd Brigade, WI Army National Guard, and Tiffany Mattila of Scottville, Mich.; one sister, Julie Ann (Kerry) Walcott, Encinitas, Calif.; and three nieces, Saskia and Skyla Walcott of Encinitas, and Anna Becker of Wausau. He was preceded in death was his brother, Scott J. Becker, in 1989.
A celebration of his life will be held at the home of his parents beginning at 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 23, 2009, at 3008 N. Highway 0, Wausau, where there will be a sharing of memories at 4 p.m.
Mid-Wisconsin Cremation Society, Schofield, is assisting the family with arrangements.
