| | | Orman 'Ormie' A. Klosterman
Ormie, our fun loving father and husband, 82, Arbor Vitae, passed away Thursday, Oct. 15, 2009, at Howard Young Medical Center, Woodruff. His sense of humor and outgoing personality will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Ormie was born Jan. 7, 1927, in Wausau to Arnold and Hertha (Mueller) Klosterman. He earned his Eagle Scout award in 1942. He loved his country and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean War. He graduated from the Milwaukee Business Institute. He married Virginia "Ginny" Bonney on May 22, 1954, in Wausau.
He worked as a lab technician for the former Zimpro Inc. in Rothschild, retiring in 1993.
Ormie loved spending time with Ginny and their family at their winter home in Florida. He was an avid Wisconsin Badger and Milwaukee Brewers fan.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia "Ginny" Klosterman, Arbor Vitae; two daughters, Bonney (Larry) Novitzke, Ringle, and Jyl (Stanley) Gustafson, Tomahawk; four grandchildren, Jason Novitzke, Holiday, Fla., Heath (Jessica) Novitzke, Marshfield, Maxine and Allison Gustafson, both of Tomahawk; one great-grandson, Wesley Novitzke, Marshfield; and one sister, Bette Tesmer, Wausau. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Marie Pepper.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009, at Hayden-Buettgen Funeral Home, Schofield. The Rev. Tim Vanden Langenberg will officiate. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial and military services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau.
