Leonard "Eck" E. Bradfish, 70, Kronenwetter, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2009, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital with his family at his side.

Len was born to Fred and Mary (Rueter) Bradfish in Rib Falls. He graduated from D.C. Everest High School in 1958. On Sept. 3, 1960, he was married to Barbara Glatczak at St. Mark Catholic Church, Rothschild.

He served in the National Guard, 22nd Red Arrow Division. Len worked at Burns Service as a mechanic and tow operator for 27 years. He retired from the town of Kronenwetter as a heavy equipment operator after 20 years of dedicated work.

Len was a longtime league bowler at Coral Lanes, Rothschild, and has been an Elks Club member for 29 years.

Len enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved to go to the Log Cabin Restaurant to visit with friends over coffee.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Len is survived by his wife, Barbara Bradfish, Kronenwetter; three sons, Dan (Lynne) Bradfish, Marquette, Mich., Mark (Krissy) Bradfish, Weston, and Paul Bradfish, Kronenwetter; three brothers, Victor Bradfish, Wausau, Florian (Lana) Bradfish, Rothschild, and Norman Bradfish, Weston; three sisters, Lucille Vandergeest, Wausau, Betty (Billy) Stolz, Schofield, and Jane (Keith) Cannon, Rothschild; and five grandchildren, Eric and wife Anna, Nick, Kyle, Vanessa and Julia.

The funeral Mass will be at noon Monday, Oct. 26, 2009, at St. Mark Catholic Church, Rothschild. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Kronenwetter. Visitation begins at 4 p.m. today at Hayden-Buettgen Funeral Home, Schofield, where the Elks Club will hold a ceremony at 6:30 p.m., and a prayer vigil at 7 p.m. Friends and family may call again from 11 a.m. until service time Monday at the church.
