Jordan Groeneveld
IRON MOUNTAIN - Jordan Paul Groeneveld, 17, of 223 Easton Lane, Kingsford, died Thursday, March 20, 2003.
Jordan was born May 9, 1985 at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain. He has attended Kingsford Schools and was currently a junior at Kingsford High School. He loved hunting, fishing and camp. He also loved all sports, especially football and bowling. Jordan was a member of American Martyrs Church in Kingsford.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Albert and Joyce Groeneveld; his maternal grandfather, George Massa; and an uncle, Billy Groeneveld.
He leaves his parents, Jan and Melanie Groeneveld of Kingsford; two brothers, Justin and Jacob at home; his maternal grandmother, Betty Massa of Kingsford; two uncles, George (Shelly) Groeneveld of Kingsford and Rodney Massa of Iron Mountain; two aunts, Kay Groeneveld of Kingsford and Joy (Larry) Nasi of Kingsford; and many other special aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. Parish prayers will be offered at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home and 11 a.m. Monday at American Martyrs Church in Kingsford. Fr. Joseph Gouin will offer the Mass of Christian burial. Burial will be in the Felch Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Groeneveld, Michael Bazinet, Bryan and John Bray, Erich Groeneveld, Lindsay Groeneveld, Brian Lequia, and Bryce Cuggino. Honorary pallbearers will be George Groeneveld and Rodney "Rat" Massa.
