| Jamie Adam Smelser, 9 ½ months old, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 17, 2005, in Glendive, due to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.
A Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, April 20, 2005 in the Chapel of the Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home in Glendive. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, April 21, 2005 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Glendive with Pastor James Hageman officiating. Interment will be in the Dawson Memorial Cemetery in Glendive. Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home of Glendive is entrusted with arrangements.
Jamie was born on July 3, 2004 to Bryon and Danielle (Gunsch) Smelser. From the time he was born, Jamie was a very happy baby who enlightened everyone with a his big brown eyes and a smile that went from ear to ear. He enjoyed spending time with his best friend - his brother, Ethan. Jamie was loved by his entire family and he will be missed dearly.
Jamie was preceded in death by his uncle, Jerrick Hanson; his cousin, Kory Hance; grandfather, Bryon Adams and his special grandfather, Ed Scherman.
Survivors include his parents and his brother, Ethan, of Glendive; maternal grandparents, Kathy and Scott Thomas of Glendive, and Dan and Stephanie Gunsch of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; paternal grandparents, Toni and Bret Smelser of Sidney; maternal great grandmother, Nancy Dexter of Glendive; maternal great grandparents, Clarence and Diann Gunsch, of Mitchell, South Dakota; paternal great grandparents, John and Elaine Frey and Bill and Sharon Smelser, all of Sidney; paternal great great grandfather, Robert Weiser of Hazelton, North Dakota; maternal aunts, Melissa (Jeff) James, Angela Rosier, Theresa (Eric) Hilgart, and Tara Skundberg, all of Glendive; paternal aunt, Heather Smelser, of Billings; paternal uncle, Brady Smelser, of Glendive; paternal aunt, Carla Smelser, of Sidney; and cousins, Damien and Anthony James, Dezarae Gideon, Tiarra Lone Bear and Bruno Hilgart, all of Glendive; and Jerrick Sanders of Billings.
