| Hazel Hofert Beckert, 102, died on Tuesday, July 17, 2007 at the Chilton Care Center in Chilton. She was born to Henrietta and Andrew Hofert on September 12, 1904 in Chicago, IL. She attended schools in Chicago. Hazel was employed by the Western Electric Company and Halsey Stuart Investment Bankers prior to her marriage to Walter Beckert in 1937 at Downers Grove, IL. After their marriage, they moved to Potter, WI. Walter died in 1966, and shortly thereafter Hazel moved to Chilton. She is predeceased by her parents, her husband, seven sisters, three brothers, two nephews and a niece. Hazel is survived by nieces: Ruth (Ray) Leonchick, Shirley (Garfield) Freeberg, and nephews Ray Daley, Jr. (Pat) and David Daley (Geraldine), and nephew's wife, Jane Kayser and many great nieces and nephews. She was a member of Faith Alliance Church in Chilton for over 40 years. She will be remembered by family and friends for her abiding love for the Lord Jesus Christ. Her testimony, given at every opportunity, attested to that, and her dearest wish was that all of her loved ones and friends had the same assurance. Her farewell: "God be with You 'til We Meet Again." Funeral services will be at Faith Alliance Church, Chilton, WI at 11:00 AM on Friday July 20 with Rev. Jim Jensen officiating. Visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Faith Alliance Church or radio station WRVM. | ||
