| Amanda A. Brandt age 90 of 705 S. Madison St. died on Sunday October 5, 2003 at Calumet Medical Center in Chilton. She was born November 12, 1912 in the Town of Morrison, daughter of the late August & Sophia (Brockmann) Genz. She married Harry G. Brandt on January 27, 1932 at Zion Lutheran Church in Wayside. The couple farmed in Kewaunee County prior to moving to Sheboygan, where Amanda worked at the Kohler Company for many years. Harry preceded her in death on December 28, 1972. She was a member of St. Martin Lutheran Church in Chilton, volunteered for Senior Citizen’s Meals and received recognition for volunteering over 1000 hours. Amanda was also a former member of the St. Martin Lutheran Ladies Aide. She enjoyed knitting & sewing, but especially loved spending time with her family. Survivors include 2 children: Violet (Bill) of Golden, CO, Louis (Donna) of Green Bay; a daughter-in-law: Rosalie Brandt of Medford; a son-in-law: Francis (Dora) Raddatz of Hilbert; 24 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by 2 children: Joan & Harold; a sister: Erna Genz; two brothers: Leonard and Walter Genz; daughter-in-law: Lucy Brandt; one grandchild; and one great grandchild. Funeral Services will be at 7:00 PM on October 9, 2003 at St. Martin Lutheran Church in Chilton with the Rev. Wayne Huebner officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 4 – 7:00 PM on Thursday when services will be held Wieting Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. A memorial fund has been established in the name of Amanda A. Brandt. | ||
