| | | Myra J. Boettcher, age 81, of Chilton entered into Life Eternal and received her Crown of Glory on Monday, February 16, 2009 at Pine Haven Rehabilitation Center in Sheboygan Falls. She was born June 5, 1927 in Hilbert, daughter of the late George & Leona (Koch) Redig. She married Arvie Boettcher on April 17, 1948 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Rantoul. After working various jobs in the Appleton area, she and her husband moved to the Valders area and farmed together for 32 years before retiring in 1983 and moved to Chilton. She was an active member of St. Martin Lutheran Church in Chilton where she also belonged to the Women's Guild, the Altar Guild, and took on many other responsibilities throughout church. Myra also belonged to the UW Extension Manitowoc County Homemakers. Survivors include her husband of 60 years: Arvie; 2 children: Rev. Dennis (Lela) Boettcher of Sheboygan Falls, Carol Boettcher of Fond du Lac; 1 grandchild: Dr. Eric (Melissa) Boettcher, of Wautoma; a brother: Ronald (Kathy) Redig of Chilton; and brothers-in-law: Charlie Graf of Chilton and Willard Wolfmeyer of Shawano. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by 3 sisters: Vera Graf, Audrey Gabel, & Naomi Wolfmeyer; and a brother: Eugene (Janice) Redig. A celebration of her eternal life will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 19, 2009, at St. Martin Lutheran Church (717 Memorial Dr.) in Chilton with the Rev. Wayne Huebner officiating. Burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 4:00 until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, February 18, 2009 and on Thursday at the church from 10:00 until 11:00 AM when service will be held.
