William D. Broker age 68 of 223 N. Madison St. in Chilton died on Friday April 15, 2005 at Chilton Medical Center in Chilton. He was born October 20, 1936 in Gravesville, WI son of Myrtle (Krueger) Broker and the late Wallace Broker. He married Diane Dohr on June 20, 1959 at St. Martin Lutheran Church in Chilton. William worked for 44 years at Carnation Co. later called Milk Products in Chilton. He was a member of St. Martin Lutheran Church in Chilton, the Jolly Fishing Club, and was an Army Reservist from 1960 – 1966. He enjoyed feeding the birds, the Milwaukee Brewers, the Green Bay Packers and sharpening saw blades. William and his brother took care of Charlestown Union Cemetery for over 25 years following the death of Wallace. Survivors include his wife Diane of Chilton; his mother: Myrtle of Chilton; his mother-in-law: Jeanette Dohr of Chilton; 5 children: Al (Dorothy) Broker of Kimberly, Laurie (David) Bennin of Chilton, Melanie (Doug) St. John of Salem, WI, Russel Broker of Mosinee and Fiancée Anne Doughty of Eau Claire, Ann Slife of Oshkosh; 10 grandchildren: Ryan, Joshua & Matthew Broker, Jacob & Emily Bennin, Alexander & Samantha St. John, Dane & Drew Doughty, and Morgan Slife; a brother: Lloyd Broker of Chilton; a sister: Barbara (Austin) Phillips of Darboy; 2 sisters-in-law: Lynn (Dave) Barger of Seymour and Gail (TJ) Hill of Winston-Salem, NC. William was also preceded in death by a sister-in-law: Joyce Broker. Funeral Services will be at 6:00 PM on Monday April 18, 2005 at St. Martin Lutheran Church in Chilton with the Rev. Wayne Huebner officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 4 – 6:00 on Monday April 18, 2005 when services will be held. A memorial fund has been established in the name of William Broker. Wieting Family Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
