| Paul H. Anhalt, age 65, of Chilton lost his battle with cancer on Wednesday November 8, 2006. He died peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 12, 1941 in Fond du Lac, son of the late Reuben & Ina (Ortlieb) Anhalt. Paul married Adella Meyers on August 28, 1965 at St. Charles Catholic Church in Charlesburg. Paul proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1960-1964, where he was stationed in Alaska and Montana. He then worked for Horst Distributing Inc. for the past 41 years. Paul led others by his example. He was a selfless, compassionate, loving individual who was an inspiration to anyone he met. He was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Paul enjoyed volleyball, golfing, playing Canasta & Dominoes with friends, as well as spending time with the "Cottage Gang" at Lake Poygan. What Paul was most passionate about was the outdoors. He loved planting and pruning trees for future generations to enjoy, knowing he would never be the one to appreciate the shade they would provide. Paul also cherished the time he spent with his family at the hunting cabin they built up north. Survivors include his wife: Adella of Chilton; 4 children: Tina (Tom) Suttner of Appleton, Jasen (Heidi) Anhalt of Fond du Lac, Stewart (Becky) Anhalt of Sun Prairie, Keenan (Casey) Anhalt of Chilton; 10 grandchildren: Matthew, Jonathon, Adam & Abigail Suttner, Mitchell & Alyssa Anhalt, Cayden Anhalt, Dylan, Kaylee & Amber Anhalt; a sister: Carol (Lyle) Beyer; sisters & brothers-in-law: Karen Anhalt of Plano, TX, Gervase (Ann) Meyers of Chilton, Anna (Ed) Jost of Milwaukee, Loretta (Harold) Baer of Hilbert, Leroy (Pat) Meyers of Chilton, Pauline (Joe) Geiser of Chilton, Julie Meyers of Chilton. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews; and special friends: June Geiser, & Jerry and Marge Flannigain. Paul was also preceded in death by a brother: Steven Anhalt; a brother-in-law: Ralph Meyers; and a special friend: Tom Geiser. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM on Monday November 13, 2006 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Chilton with the Rev. Norman Krutzik officiating. Friends may call at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton from 3-8:00 PM on Sunday November 12, 2006 and on Monday at the funeral home from 9-11:00 AM when family prayers will be held. A memorial fund has been established in the name of Paul H. Anhalt. | ||
