Richard E. Muellenbach, age 62, of New Holstein died on Friday, October 30, 2009 at the Calumet Medical Center. He was born October 11, 1947, son of the late Claude & Dorothy (Schroeder) Muellenbach. He married Heather L. Quandt on June 29, 1974 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein. Richard faithfully served his country in the United States Army and retired from the Army Reserve. He also worked at Tecumseh in New Holstein until his retirement in 2002. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church where he also served on the church council, and he was a member of the New Holstein American Legion. Survivors include his wife: Heather; his children: Tim (Lisa) Muellenbach of Oshkosh, Craig (Jennifer) Muellenbach of Oshkosh, Sarah Muellenbach of Madison, Daniel Muellenbach of Oshkosh; 3 grandchildren: Grace, Tyler, & Dylan; 5 brothers; and 5 sisters. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church (1724 Madison St.) in New Holstein with the Rev. Harry Berryman officiating. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery. Friends may call at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (1212 Teckla Pl) in Kiel from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, November 3, 2009 and on Wednesday at the church from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM
